Here's Lynda Graham in dialogue at the Hidden Literacies conference. (Who is that hidden just behind her? A spectral form?) A photograph, Susan Sontag tells us, "is a material vestige of its subject in a way that no painting can be...a trace, something directly stenciled off the real, like a footprint or a death mask."
